About Rev. Mark David

Rev. Mark David is a devoted family man who has been in ministry for over forty years. His journey of faith began at a young age; he committed his life to Jesus at eleven and was baptised at sixteen. This early dedication has been a driving force behind his passion for ministry, particularly with youth and families. His unwavering commitment to ministry, fueled by this early dedication, has been a constant source of inspiration for his endeavours and accomplishments.

Rev. David’s ministry is a testament to his versatility and dedication. He has served as a puppeteer, dramatist, Sunday school teacher, Christian Education Director, and Youth Pastor at the First Church of the Open Bible in San Fernando. His diverse portfolio also included roles as the National Sunday School Superintendent and National Youth Minister for the Open Bible Standard Churches of Trinidad and Tobago Inc. He is a gifted speaker at various churches, schools, and community functions at home and abroad, and was an instructor at the Open Bible Institute of Theology.

In June 2002, Rev. David made a significant career transition, leaving behind a successful role as a Senior Mortgage Officer to answer his calling to full-time ministry. He became the Senior Pastor of the Church of the Open Bible in Siparia in 2011, after serving as the interim pastor. With a Master’s degree in Family Life Education, Rev. David remains active in various ministry areas. Since 2002, he has also served as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Open Bible Standard Churches of Trinidad and Tobago Inc.

He balances his professional commitments with his family life; he is married to Kimmie Richardson-David and is the father of two adult children, Amanda and Kevin. He is also a proud grandfather of two.
