History – Women of Worth is the official Women’s arm of the Open Bible Standard Churches Inc. Known formerly as the “Women’s World Fellowship (WWF) it was started under the leadership of Mrs. Kare Wilhelmsen, the Founding Missionary of the Open Bible Standard Churches in Trinidad and Tobago in 1954. At that time the W.W.F. adopted as its motto “We Serve” and the slogan “Helping Hands and Willing Hearts” as well as its scripture verse “ She hath done what she could (Mark 14:8). The overriding aim of the Women’s World Fellowship was to unite Christian women of various communities in a cause which would bring glory to the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Moreover, every Open bible Church was encouraged to start its own W.W. F. Group. The longest standing President of the Women’s World Fellowship is Rev. Angela Griffith, one of the Pastors at the First Church of the Open Bible. In the year 2000, the National Board of the Open Bible Standard Churches and the General Assembly gave an all clear for a change of name from Women’s World Fellowship to “Women of Worth International”. This new initiative was launched by Rev. Joyce Edwards, a long-standing female Minister with the Open Bible Standard Churches. This new thrust has changed the dynamics of the Women’s Ministry in general.

Purpose – To develop and motivate women spiritually, emotionally and socially; to bring all women to their full godly potential in Christ Jesus.
