The Morne Diablo Open Bible Church made its debut at Concert of Choirs in 1998 with the renditions of “Oh Happy Day” and “Praise Looks Good on You,” directed by our choir mistress, Sis. Karlene Benjamin. Our second appearance was a collaboration with the Palo Seco Open Bible Church in 2010.
Our church, now called the Solid Rock Open Bible Church, formed a children’s choir in the community of Morne Diablo in 2024 under the stewardship of Dr. Karlene Sookoo. The children’s choir participated in the Ron Kenoly concert on 20 April 2025, where the children of Solid Rock Open Bible were recognized by Dr. Ron Kenoly at the concert.
At the Concert of Choirs 2025, we joined with the Siparia and Mendez Open Bible Churches under the leadership of our Pastor, Dr. Karlene Sookoo, and Bro. Dale Sookoo. This year, 2026, our choir is led by our Senior Pastor of Solid Rock Open Bible Church and her husband, Bro. Dale Sookoo.
